Town Hall

THE TOWN HALL. The Town Council is the Trustee for the Town Hall Charity. This historically important,Grade 2 listed building is maintained for the benefit of the residents of Whitchurch.

The Council endeavours to provide a range of services to the Town at minimal cost.

Information Point for the County,Borough and Town Councils

Open Mondays,Tuesdays,Thursdays and Fridays between 9.30 a.m. and 11.30 a.m.,and by appointment at other times in the working week.

Citizens’ Advice Bureau Outstation

Tuesdays,9.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. No appointment necessary.

Police Surgery

The second Tuesday in each month,excluding August. Any changes will be posted on the Notice Board and the website.

Registrar of Births and Deaths

For appointments please phone 01256 322188.

Borough and County Councillors are offered free accommodation when they require it for public surgeries or meetings.

Sir George Young MP uses the Town Hall for his public surgeries,as and when he requires.


The Council Chamber may be hired for meetings or private functions. (There is currently no disabled access to the first floor).
